BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT
Feminine
SO YOU’VE BOOKED YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT WITH ME IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE… NOW WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
Don’t worry – I’ve got you covered…
When it comes to deciding what to wear for your empowering boudoir photoshoot, the choice really is yours! You can wear as many looks during your photoshoot as time allows. Although I would always suggest limiting yourself to two or three lingerie outfits that fit really well and that you love.
I always encourage my clients to wear what they feel comfortable and sexy in. So it’s a really good idea to try on a few options before the day and check yourself out in the mirror – which sets make you feel amazing and show off all your best bits?
Boudoir Photoshoot Outfit Ideas: Bottoms Up
When thinking about what to wear for your boudoir photoshoot, high waisted knickers can be a great choice! They can smooth the tummy and accentuate your waist. These can be a perfect choice for those of us blessed with an hourglass figure.
If you’re wanting to show a little more skin for your boudoir photoshoot, Brazilian style knickers and thongs are a great cheeky option for perky bums no matter their size!
Boudoir Photoshoot Outfit Ideas: To layer, or not to layer
Layers are great for posing and adding extra texture to your images. I love that they can also become a bit of a prop as well. Often, we will start a boudoir photoshoot by using layers, as it’s a great way to warm up and feel comfortable in front of the camera straight away.
If you do fancy layering up, you could think about using an oversized shirt. If this is a surprise gift for your partner, you could always secretly borrow one of theirs. Another option is to rock a leather jacket over your lingerie, or a silk robe or lace dressing gown for a hint of glamour.
Boudoir Photoshoot Outfit Ideas: Sweet Feet
When you’re thinking about what to wear for your boudoir photoshoot, don’t forget your feet! Heels are a great choice of footwear as they make your posture look amazing and can give you some great curves. However, boots totally kick ass and can look edgy while still rocking your outfit. Bare feet tend to have a more vulnerable edge and give off a more delicate vibe. This is great for our more relaxed shots during your boudoir session.
As with everything, it’s all a matter of preference. You can even mix things up throughout your boudoir photoshoot and try them all!
Boudoir Photoshoot Outfit Ideas: Bare it all?
The last thing to think about is how much skin you want to show. It’s up to you how much or how little you want to reveal – these images are for you and I’m happy to guide you the whole time. This is also something we can discuss on our pre-shoot consultation video call.
You can choose to just go for it or you could choose to have some photos that are implied nudity. This means that we can make it look as though you have less on than you really do by the power of angles and positioning. If you want to stay covered there is absolutely no pressure to change your mind. I’m also happy for you to decide on the day based on how you’re feeling.
So what are you going to wear for your empowering boudoir photoshoot?
To sum it all up, the choice really is yours. I would definitely suggest trying on a few outfits in front of your mirror to see how they make you feel. Do you feel sexy? Feel powerful? Do your choices make you feel amazing? It’s important to be able to move around and feel comfortable in what you choose to wear for your boudoir photoshoot. All in all I suggest choosing no more than three outfits for your boudoir photoshoot as you want to have the time to relax and enjoy your session. If you have any questions, please get in touch!
